Please like and share this video if you like it ;) I teach Gabriel to come when called for food when its dinner time. I want to teach him phrases and words but also LOVE seeing him run... what a cheetahs is designed to do. I record some slow mode motion of his arrival from WAY out inside his enclosure with some close ups. Cheetahs, like any wild predator, can become quite possessive and aggressive over food due to the instinct of hunger and survival and I use the opportunity to hand feed Gabriel some of his food to help ease his mind about my intentions. In the wild male coalition of cheetahs share kills, some sharing better others. When I am away for so long between caring for Gabriel, he often forgets that I share food with him and I have to reacquaint and re-educate my intentions with him. I even hold his bone for him so he can eat it better. In between the tensions of feeding time, Gabriel goes back to his adorable, loving, affectionate, playful self. It's a joy to interact, care, play, and feed Gabriel. He is a breeding male cheetah at this project and in Dec 2019 actually mated with another female cheetah! If there are cubs... about 90-98 days gestation period.... I will record the births! What a wonderful legacy Gabriel will pass on if he becomes a father... We shall see. Thanks for watching!
